Description

RODADECK SF is a two-component coating based on hydraulic agglomerates, synthetic resins, specific additives and selected colorants.

Once mixed, it forms a low-thickness coating with high mechanical resistance and high adherence to any substrate: concrete, cementitious mortars, ceramics.

Application procedure

Support preparation: The support must be clean and free from grease and oils. It must have good planimetry conditions.

Generally, priming is not necessary though some specific conditions require priming. The use of COPSAFLOOR IMPRIMACIÓN or PRELATEX SCA 300 is recommended.

Mixing: RODADECK SF is formulated on the base of a power component and a liquid one. These must be mixed 1:2 to 1:3 relationships depending on the desired consistency, as follows: Add the component A in a metal container and then slowly pour the component B, on the dosage necessary until the consistency elected, while the product is homogenised by a low revolutions mechanical mixer. Mix for at least 2 minutes to obtain a uniform mixture and free of lumps.

Application: Apply two or three coats of RODADECK SF according to the desired aesthetic finish, extending it with a flexible trowel, tightening the product or to obtain a stucco effect.

After the application of each layer, let dry and make the former a gentle sanding with fine hand tools and sands of 150-180 grams, in order to remove imperfections and promote bonding between them.

The weight of the sand must be chosen and is variable depending on the requirements.

Finish with a final sanding application once hardened the material.

Failure to pass an application layer thickness of 2 mm. Final thickness must not be bigger than 1.5-2 mm.

It recommends increasing the thickness of the first layer with a thixotropic consistency paste, so on second and third layers with more fluid consistencies, achieving the effect of stucco required.

Working time: The working time is from 15 to 20 minutes, at 20ºC. It is therefore recommended amounts of mixing according to the performance achieved.

Sealing: Having hardened, RODADECK SF must be coated within 24 hours and 7 days, depending on the type of coating.

It is recommended in all cases, to enhance the beauty of the lining, the application of two coats crossed of RODADECK WAX, at the time of application and when it loses its original beauty, such as maintenance of the surface.

Tools cleaning: Tools and application equipments are washed immediately after use. If the product hardens, it can be removed by mechanical means only.

Special precautions

This product contains cement. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin as well as powder inhalation. Low temperatures extend and high temperatures reduce dramatically the working time and drying.

Use rubber gloves and goggles.

Keep out of children‘s reach.

Do not apply the product at ambient temperatures below 5 ºC or above 30 ° C.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

On fine texture, the RODADECK SF indicative yield is 1.5-2 kg/m² and 2.5-3 kg/m² on rough texture.

Packaging

RODADECK SF is supplied in 20 kg cans (Comp. B) and 5 or 25 kg bottles (Comp. A)

Storage

RODADECK SF must be kept in its original unopened containers, protected from bad weather.

Its shelf life is 12 months since the date of its manufacturing, provided it is well kept.
