Description

COPSAFLEX 11-C is a one-component sealant of paste like consistency based on polyurethane which polymerizes once in contact with the ambient humidity.

COPSAFLEX 11-C adheres to practically all construction materials. It is totally waterproof and exhibits high mechanical performance as well as excellent performance against chemically aggressive products.

COPSAFLEX 11-C meets the SNJF Norms, elastomeric 1st grade and UNE 53.622-89, B-1 Class.

    • w < 15 mm: w/d= 1/1.
    • 15 < w < 25 mm: w/d = 2/1.
  • Max. acceptable movement: 25%.
  • Chemical resistance: waterproof.

Application procedure

Preparation of the joint: The interior of the joint to seal should be free from humidity, friable material, grout or residual material.

Place a cord of polyethylene, with a section bigger than that of the joint, at the bottom of the joint, at a suitable depth, so that it fits well in it. The section to fill should be a function of the joint width.

Priming: In general, priming is not necessary. If the substrate is very porous, COPSAFLEX 11- C PRIMER should be used.

Application: Pierce the cartridge tip and screw the plastic nozzle, cut at bezel (45ª), to suit the width of the required cord. Place the cartridge into a gun, either by hand or pneumatically, keeping the gun at a convenient distance away from the joint, to avoid air blockage in the sealing.

Joints, smaller than 5 mm, should be opened. For joints wider than 1cm we recommend placing a cord at each edge and another one at the bottom.

Tools cleaning: Tools should be cleaned with COPSA Cleaning Solvent, immediately after use. Once the product hardens, it can only be cleaned by mechanical means only.

Recommended for

  • Joints between carpentry work and factory repairs.
  • Pavement joints.
  • Cracks filling.
  • Prefabricated material sealing.
  • Structural joints subject to big movements and dilatation.
  • Joints between metal elements (steel, aluminium, lead, etc.) once free from grease.
  • Elastic sealing and construction material fixing in general.

Special precautions

COPSAFLEX 11- C does not resist UV rays. The lighter colours undergo a colour modification. This does not affect the resistance of the product.

COPSAFLEX 11- C contains isocyanate.

Avoid eye and skin contact. In case of such contact, wash thoroughly with water and see a doctor. If the product is inhaled, see a doctor immediately. Do not provoke vomit.

Use gloves and goggles during the preparation and the application of the material.
