2 to 4 mm solvent-free floor based on cementitious mortar modified by epoxy resins

Documento sin título

Description

COPSAFLOOR EC-100 is a 2 to 4 mm solvent-free floor based on cementitious mortar modified by epoxy resins. Due to its high fluidity, continuous self-levelling floors of high mechanical performance can be produced.Classified as cement levelling screed, type CT-C50-F10-A9, according to UNE EN - 138132003.

    • Complete: 7 d.
  • Mechanical strength:
    • Compressive strength: 600 kg/cm2.
    • Flexural stregth: 150 kg/cm2.
  • Repainting time (min): 6 - 12 h.
  • Bond strenght: > 35 kg/cm2 (concrete breaks).
  • Layer thickness: 2-4 mm.

Application procedure

Surface preparation: The substrate must be of sufficient compressive strength. It must be clean and free of friable material. The substrate can be either dry or wet but never with excess water. Sand blasting or grinding systems are recommended to achieve a suitable substrate.

Application: The first coat (COPSAFLOOR EC IMPRIMACIÓN) is applied by a roller or a trowel. This enables the sealing of superficial porosity and enhances the adhesion of COPSAFLOOR EC-100. COPSAFLOOR IMPRIMACIÓN H is recommended for highly porous substrates. The second coat, or main coat, consists in a mortar based on COPSAFLOOR EC 100 binder. This is spread by a tooth trowel until the desired thickness is achieved. Care should be taken to apply the mortar before the total curing of the primer. Afterwards, remove the entrapped air and improve the levelling of COPSAFLOOR EC-100 by a nylon tooth roller applied in a slow, even way.

Tools cleaning: Clean tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened material can only be removed mechanically.

Recommended for

Suitable for high mechanical and chemical resistant floors which require easy cleaning, such as

  • Chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry.
  • Laboratories.
  • Warehouses and dry packaging areas.
  • Aseptic halls.
  • Nuclear plants.
  • Automated warehouses.
  • A temporary humidity barrier for further resin or paint coating.

Special precautions

For advice on specific safety and first aid information, users should read carefully the product label. A mixture free from polymers could cause skin irritation. Use rubber gloves and goggles. In case of skin contact, clean with a paper napkin and wash thoroughly with water and soap.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

COPSAFLOOR EC-100 consumptions dependson the surface texture and is approximatelythe following:

  • Priming coat: 0.25 - 0.3 kg /m2.
  • Main coat: 1. 9 kg /m2/ 1 mm thickness.

Packaging

The product is supplied in 30 kg packaging.

Storage

The components must be stored in their original, unopened packaging, in dry places, protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between 15 and 30 °C. The shelf life of these products is at least 12 months after their manufacturing, provided they are well kept.
