Two-component epoxy binder, solvent-free and transparent

Documento sin título

Description

COPSAFLOOR 600 is a two-component epoxy binder, solvent-free and transparent. Mixedwith quartz natural or colored aggregates, it is used for industrial flooring and in particular, for decorative floors. It can be applied bymeans of any system of application.

Technical Data

  • Type: Two-component epoxy resin.
  • Colour: Colourless.
  • Binder Density: 1.15 kg/dm3.
  • Pot life at 20 °C: 45 min.
  • Solids in weight: 100%.
  • Substrate temperature:
    • Min: 10 °C.
    • Max: 30 °C.
  • Setting time (20 °C):
    • People's traffic: 16 h.
    • Industrial traffic: 7 days.
  • Repainting time (min): 6 - 12 h.
  • Bond strenght: > 35 kg/cm2 (concrete breaks).

Features

  • Transparent binder, highly decorative.
  • A limited number of components for the performance of the entire floor: primer, main coat, sealing.
  • Big variety of floors, a broad range of colors ; can be mixed with colored sand aggregates.

Application procedure

Preparation of the surface: The substrate must be of sufficient compressive strength. It must be dry, clean, free from laitance, friable material, paint or curing liquid. To achieve an open textured surface, sand blasting or grinding is recommended prior to the application. High spots and other surface defects must be removed to achieve an even and smooth surface.

Application: Firstly, mix homogeneously the resin or component A. Then, mix the resin and the hardener in a uniform way. Apply the first coat (primer) by a roller or by a metal trowel in case of mortar, in a ratio bond/ sand aggregate 1:0.5 to 1:1.5 using 0,1 to 0,3 mm sand. In this first application, the sand should be added slowly to the resin and hardener using an electric low-speed mixer to minimize air entrainment. A uniform mortar should be achieved. The main coat of COPSAFLOOR 600 is spread over this coat by a metal smooth trowel or a tooth trowel (according to the pavement). The sand aggregate proportion varies according to the type of the desired flooring: multi-coat, dry mortar or self-leveling (for each case, please, refer to our Technical Department). Add the corresponding color concentrate to the main coat, stirring slightly until a uniform color is obtained.

A sealing coat of resin COPSAFLOOR 600 and a color concentrate is applied to the finish, upon request, using a roller or a rubber rake, to achieve an easy-to-clean anda esthetically pleasant finish. Should colored sand aggregates be used, a color concentrate is not added to the main coat or sealing.

Tools cleaning: The tools and utensils should be washed with COPSA solvent cleaner immediately after their use. If the product hardens, it can be removed only mechanically.
