Features

  • Easy application.
  • Excellent mechanical resistance.
  • Excellent adherence.
  • Highly decorative pavement, available in a wide range of colours.
  • Easy cleaning.
  • High chemical resistance.

Application procedure

Surface preparation: The substrate must be of sufficient compressive strength. It must be clean, free from friable material and humidity. The mechanical send blasting and grinding systems are recommended to achieve the appropriate substrate.

Application: The first coat (COPSAFLOOR IMPRIMACIÓN) is applied by a roller or a trowel and aims at sealing the superficial porosity and enhancing the COPSAFLOOR 500 adherence.

For the proper application of the primers, consult the corresponding technical datasheet..

The second coat, or main coat, consists in a mortar based on COPSAFLOOR 500 and a sand aggregate type COPSAFILLER C1 or C3, mixed homogeneously. The resin / aggregate ratio could be up to 1:1.2.

The mortar is applied by a tooth trowel to obtain the required thickness. Take care to apply the mortar before the primer is totally cured. Wait for 10 to 20 minutes before removing the entrapped air and improving the levelling of COPSAFLOOR 500 by a nylon tooth roller applied in a slow, even way.

A polyurethane coating type PREPUR 40 can be applied over the hardened coat. PREPUR 40 could be gloss or matt and will enhance the aesthetic characteristics and the mechanical performance of the floor.

Tools cleaning: Clean all tools and application equipment with COPSA cleaning solvent immediately after use. If the product hardens, it can be removed only mechanically.

Recommended for

  • Flooring which requires high mechanical and chemical resistance, as well as easy cleaning, such as:
  • Chemical, pharmaceutical and food industry.
  • Laboratories.
  • Warehouses and areas of dry packing.
  • Antiseptic halls.
  • Nuclear plants.
  • Automated warehouses.

Special precautions

For advice on specific safety and first aid information, users should read carefully the product label.

A mixture free from polymers could cause skin irritation. Use rubber gloves and goggles. In case of skin contact, clean with a paper napkin and wash thoroughly with water and soap.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to local legal regulations.

Consumption

COPSAFLOOR 500 (Copsafloor 500 + Copsafiller C-1) consumption depends on the surface texture and is about 1.7 kg/m2/ mm thickness.

Packaging

COPSAFLOOR 500 is supplied in cans of 20 kg, in grey RAL 7001, red RAL 3009 and green RAL 6010. Other colours are available upon request. COPSAFILLER C-1 is supplied in 20 kg bags.

Storage

The components should be stored in their unopened original packaging, in dry places and protected from the sun, at 15 to 30 ºC temperature.

The shelf life of the product is 12 months from the date of production, provided it is well kept.

The sand aggregates should be kept in their original packaging, not exposed to the open air. The time of their use is unlimited.
