Stamped concrete flooring

Description

RODASOL IMPRESO is a flooring based on Portland cement, selected aggregates, pigments and high purity admixtures which is applied on fresh concrete forming a monolithic wearing layer with it. This is highly resistant to abrasion, pleasant texture and stamp that can replace traditional pavements: paving stones, natural stones, slates, etc.

Technical Data

• Type: Coloured cement mortar enhanced with admixtures.
• Density: 2 kg/dm³.
• pH: 12.
• High resistance to abrasion (5 times higher than of concrete).
• Extraordinary mechanical resistance.
• Stable to UV rays.
• Impermeable to water, grease and oil due to its powder structure.

Application procedure

Once applied, the concrete is levelled off. Then RODASOL IMPRESO COLOREADO is added to it and DESMOLDEANTES RODASOL is applied over it avoiding unevenly covered zones. The concrete is levelled until a wetted and compact surface is obtained.

Dampening the product with the water left in the concrete is very important. Additional water is not recommended since this would reduce considerably the mechanical resistance of the product.

Further on, the concrete is flattened and the moulds are applied over it while it is in its plastic state. 12 hours later, the surface should not exhibit any traces of moisture and is then sealed with any of the polymer range RODADECK SEALER. This will protect the flooring from a premature loss of water and will highlight the colours.

The concrete to use must meet the following requirements:

• Characteristic resistance: ~ 200 kg/cm².
• Maximum sand aggregates: 20 mm.

Tools cleaning: Tools are washed with water, immediately after use.

• Walking areas and chalets access, swimming pools, etc.

• Urbanisations.

Special precautions

Maintenance of the sealing coat is recommended every two years, whenever the flooring is used for normal, light traffic. This product contains cement. Avoid contact with the eyes and the skin as well as inhalation. Use rubber gloves and goggles.

Keep out of children‘s reach.

Do not apply at ambient temperature lower than 5 ºC.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

RODASOL IMPRESO yields approximately 4 kg/m². This is the recommended amount whenever the substrate humidity enables the correct hydration of the product.

Packaging

RODASOL IMPRESO is available in bags of 25 kg and in the colours provided in the list. Please, consult our Technical Department.

Storage

RODASOL IMPRESO must be stored in a dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight, in its unopened original containers.

Its shelf life is 12 months since the date of manufacturing, provided it is well preserved.
