Thixotropic mortar for natural elements reproduction of up to 6 cm thickness

Description

COPSAGUNIT TXT LIGERO (LIGHT) is a dry thixotropic mortar based on hydraulic binders available in white, grey or coloured. Once it is mixed, it can be applied manually or mechanically (using a spraying machine for continuous or discontinuous mixing) with a varying thickness. The mortar can be modelled, shaped, projected, stamped and moulded.

COPSAGUNIT TXT LIGERO preparation involves a complete manufacturing process which includes the following operations:

• Pre-selection of sand aggregates.
• Drying of aggregates.
• Dosage of cement, aggregates and admixtures.
• Packaging and labelling.

The aggregates are dried in rotating ovens in order to avoid a reaction of the cement with the natural humidity which would bring about the loss of the mortar‘s properties before it is put into operation.

The mortar is classified as type GP-CS IV W2 according to UNE-EN 998-1.

Application procedure

COPSAGUNIT TXT LIGERO is a ready to use product. The water necessary for the mixing is 5 litres per 25 kg bag. Mixing could be carried out by hand, by a concrete mixer, or by an injection machine type, such as: SV, P11, P13, etc. or type PFT, G4, etc. Mixing takes between 3 and 5 minutes if carried out with a discontinuous type machine P11, Mixjet, etc.

The pot life of the mix is 1 to 1.5 hours, according to the atmospheric conditions.

The substrate must be water saturated and free from friable material.

Recommended for

• Wall regulation.
• Performance of reliefs of various appearances. Reproduction of rocks, trunks, trees, sculpted stones, etc.
• Performance of waterproofing coatings or facade decoration, applied in one or various coats, enabling various finishes and textures.
• Rehabilitation of facades.
• Repair of cornices, balcony corners, edges, etc.

Special precautions

This product contains cement. Avoid contact with the eyes and the skin. Avoid inhalation of the powder.

Use rubber gloves and goggles.

Keep away from children‘s reach.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

The product yields 13.5 kg/m² per 1 cm thickness, according to the support.

Packaging

The product is supplied in 25 kg bags, in grey and white colors. For the rest of the colors, consult our Technical Department.

Storage

COPSAGUNIT TXT LIGERO must be stored in dry places, protected from frost and direct sunlight, in its original, unopened packaging. Its shelf life is 12 months, provided it is well kept.
