Epoxy bonding agent for mortars and concrete

Description

PREPOXY ADHERENTE is a two-component product, formulated on the base of epoxy resins which enables a perfect bonding between hardened and fresh concrete as well as hardened concrete and other materials.

Technical Data

• Type: Two-component epoxy adhesive.
• Mix colour: Grey.
• Density: 1.40 ± 0.5 kg/dm3.
• Mix ratio A/B: 2/1 by weight.
• Drying time: 24 h.
• Open time:
  At 10 ºC: 5 h.
  At 20 ºC: 3 h.
  At 30 ºC: 1 h.
• Total curing time: 7 days.
• Pot life at 20ºC: ~25 min.
• Application temperature: 8 - 30 ºC.
• Mechanical strenght:
  Compression at 28 d: ~700 kg/cm2.
  Flexural str. at 28 d: ~350 kg/cm2.
• Adherence to concrete at 25 ºC:
  >35 kg/cm2 (concrete breaks).
• Adherence to steel at 25 ºC:
  170 - 200 kg/cm2.

Application procedure

Mix the two components of PREPOXY ADHERENTE and apply on the substrate which should be free from dust or crumbly material. The contact surface can be damp but free of standing water or ice. The adherence tensile strength of PREPOXY ADHERENTE is achieved after 24 hours though its maximum resistance is obtained 7 days after its application.

The product should not be applied at ambient temperatures lower than 10ºC.

Tools cleaning: Tools and application equipment are washed with COPSA Solvent Cleaner immediately after use. If the product hardens, it can only be removed by mechanical means.

Special precautions

For special safety recommendations and first aid instructions, read carefully the packaging label.

Before hardening, the mix can cause skin irritation. Use rubber gloves and goggles. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with water and soap.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

The yield of PREPOXY ADHERENTE is between 300 and 800 g/m2, depending on the surface texture.

PREPOXY ADHERENTE is supplied in 1. 5 and 20 kg sets.

Storage

PREPOXY ADHERENTE has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of production if kept unopened in its original containers.
