Cosmetic mortar for superficial regulation

Description

PREREPAR E 200 is a one-component mortar, formulated on the base of Portland cement, selected sand aggregates and polymers. Mixed with water, PREREPAR E 200 results in a thin thixotropic mortar, designed to coat and regulate concrete surfaces providing them with waterproof features and enhancing the aesthetics of the surface.

• Mechanical strength: Compressive str. at 24 h: >100 kg/cm2. Compressive str. at 28 d: > 300 kg/cm2. Flexural str. at 28 d: > 40 kg/cm2.
• Bond stre:ngth to concrete: At 28 days: > 15 kg/cm2.
• Thickness of application: Up to 3 mm.

Application procedure

Substrate preparation:

The application substrate must be water saturated, clean and free from friable material. If particular thickness or structural repair is required, a mortar of the range COPSATEC should be applied. When concrete damage is insignificant, the application of PREREPAR E is recommended.

Product preparation:

Mix the product well, either manually or mechanically, with water at a rate of 5 liters per 25 kg bag of the product to obtain a paste like consistency. Let the mix dry to enhance the moisturizing of the concrete.

Product application:

PREREPAR E 200 is not suitable for layer thickness higher than 3 mm. PREREPAR E 200 does not need special curing when applied over surfaces of PREREPAR S or COPSAGUNIT H.

Its application over more porous surfaces of concrete or mortar, PREREPAR E 200 should be protected to avoid fast evaporation of the mixing water.

Tools cleaning:

Tools and application equipments are washed with water immediately after their use. If the product hardens, it can be removed by mechanical means only.

Recommended for

• Canals and ditches coating.
• Regularization of surfaces restored with PREREPAR - COPSAGUNIT- COPSATEC mortars.
• Regularization and finish of concrete structures.
• External coating of buildings.
• Levelling of concrete surfaces as a substrate preparation for protection coating.
  

Special precautions

This product contains cement. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Avoid inhaling the powder. Use rubber gloves and goggles. Keep out of children’s reach. Do not apply the product at temperatures lower than 5ºC.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

Consumption depends on the texture of the surface to cover. PREREPAR E 200 yields 1.4 kg /m2/ 1 mm thickness.

Packaging

PREREPAR E 200 is supplied in 25 kg bags, in grey, grey concrete and white colours.

Storage

PREREPAR E 200 must be stored in a dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight, in its original unopened packaging. In adequate conditions, its shelf life is 12 months after the date of manufacturing.
