Application procedure
Substrate preparation: The application substrate (concrete, mortar, stone, brick, etc.) must be resistant, absorptive and clean. Loose particles such as oxides, grease, laitance, dust and other polluters must be eliminated. Prior to application, wet the substrate well to saturate the pours. Use compressed air, a sponge, etc. to eliminate the water in excess.
Mortar preparation: Pour the water in a suitable recipient and gradually add the powder product, mixing at the same time to obtain a homogeneous mix, free from lumps. The proportion of the mix is approximately 4.25 liters of water to a 25 kg bag of PREREPAR E.
Neither cement, nor additional sand aggregates and grave can be added to PREREPAR E. For vertical application, ceilings or vaults, a dry consistency mix should be prepared to avoid splitting off.
PREREPAR E can be applied either by a spatula or by a trowel. If high thickness is required, it should be applied coat by coat (max. 2cm thickness) waiting for each coat to harden enough before continuing with the next one.
Repaired edges and the corners are recommended to be smoothed by a wooden trowel or hard foam before the product begins to harden. Due to its fast setting, the product workability time is 15-25 minutes, varying according to the amount of mixing water and the environment humidity.
Curing: The area should be protected against the extremely fast evaporation using water spraying, wet burlaps or some curing liquid.
Tools cleaning:Tools and application equipments are washed with water immediately after their use. If the product hardens, it can be removed by mechanical means only.
