Description

PRECRYL is a waterproof coating based on acrylic resins modified with polyurethane highly weather resistant. It is especially designed for facades or indoor surfaces which need a good protection against deterioration caused by the aggressive environment.

PRECRYL is suitable for the protection of concrete surfaces sensitive to carbonation.

Technical Data

  • Type: Acrylic modified resin.
  • Colour: Grey or white (other colors upon request).
  • Density: 1.50 ± 0.05 kg/dm3.
  • Viscosity: 15,000 cps.
  • Application temperature: > 5 ºC.
  • Drying time to touch: 30 min.
  • Repainting time (min): 2-4 h.
  • Strength at CO2 difussion (thickness of dry layer 130 µm):
    • SD (CO2) = 1,766 m.
    • µ (CO2) = 13.6•106.
  • Strength at H2Odifussion (thickness of dry layer 120 µm)m):
    • SD (H2O) = 0.4 m.
    • µ (H2O) = 3,400.

Features

  • Exceptionally resistant to carbon anhydride and sulphur anhydride, as well as to defrosting salts.
  • Resistant to ultra-violet rays.
  • Excellent adhesion.
  • Weather and frost resistant.
  • Waterproof; water vapour permeable.
  • Easy to apply with a brush or a roller.
  • Dirt repellent.
  • Decorative. A broad range of colors.
  • Slightly flexible.
  • High durability.

Application procedure

Preparation of the surface: The application surface (concrete, mortar, stone, brick, etc.) should be resistant, absorbent and clean.

Loose particles, such as oxides, grease, laitance, dust and other polluters should be eliminated.

Product preparation: Stir the content of the container to achieve a perfect homogeneity. PRECRYL is diluted with 20 to 25 % of water, according to the substrate porosity and the type of application. For a second coating, dissolve the product in 10% of water. An anticorrosive priming is recommended over metal surfaces.

Apply by a brush, a roller or a spray on surface free from dust, grease or old paint.

Product application: In general, two coatings of PRECRYL are applied by a brush, a roller or a spray. The second coating can be applied immediately after the first one has dried. This depends to a great extent on the thickness of the film, the relative humidity and the environmental temperature. At 20ºC and about 60 % humidity, a coating takes two hours to dry.

Tools cleaning: The tools and utensils should be washed with water immediately after use.

Recommended for

  • Facades of buildings.
  • Surfaces sensitive to carbonation.
  • Plastic coating for interiors and exteriors.
  • Concrete structures.
