Application procedure
Preparation of surface: The surface should be absolutely sound, clean and free from grease, oils and other polluters. It should also exhibit an adequate surface resistance.
If water leakages exist, these should be previously plugged with PRERESEAL 50 or PRERESEAL 75 PLUG.
The substrate surface should be wetted prior to the application.
Preparation of the product: Mix the product with water manually or stir mechanically, at a rate of 8 litres per bag to obtain a workable mixture. Then the mixture is left to rest for about 5 minutes to obtain a better moistening of the grains.
Addition of 1 to 2 litres of PRELATEX 150 per each 20 kg of PRERESEAL 100 is recommended for a non-porous surface.
Placement: Apply by a brush, roller or a wood grain brush over moistened surfaces cleaned prior to application from dust, paint, grease, efflorescent material, etc., using a wood grain brush or through sand blasting.
Prior to application saturate the surface with water.
If cracks without movement exist, seal superficially using COPSABAND 100 if the pressure is positive. In waterproofing under counter pressure (i.e. interiors of basement walls or lift pits) these should be known beforehand and treated with PRERESEAL 50 or 200.
Curing: Special measures should be taken to prevent PRERESEAL from fast drying in very hot and windy weather conditions of application.
Recent coats have to be protected against the rain until they harden totally.ools cleaning: The tools and utensils should be washed with water immediately after use. If the product hardens on them, it can be removed in a mechanical way only.
Recommended for
- Water reservoirs and irrigation ditches coating.
- Swimming pools, basement walls, silos and prefabricated panels waterproofing.
- Exterior building coating.
- Sewage nets.
- Water piping.
- Galleries and tunnels.
- Under water structures.
PRERESEAL 100 can be applied on both old and new structures, either on the side of the water flow (direct pressure) or on the other side (indirect pressure).
Special precautions
If the application surface is difficult to clean, use PRERESEAL 100 adding PRELATEX 150 to the water mix at a rate of three parts of the latter to three parts of clean water.
Do not apply the product at temperatures below 5ºC.
Mixed with water, the product obtains alkaline properties. Therefore, it can cause eyes or skin irritation. Use rubber gloves and goggles.
Avoid powder inhalation.
Keep out of children‘s reach.
Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.
Consumption
