High performance super plasticizer of long lasting effect

Description

PREFLOW 1000-R is a polymeric liquid admixture, chloride free, suitable for obtaining and maintaining very fluid concrete over a prolonged period of time.

Technical Data

• Type: Modified sulphonated
  naphthalene formaldehyde.
• Aspect: Liquid.
• Colour: Brown.
• pH: 8 ± 1.
• Density: 1.22 kg/dm3 ± 2%.
• Solid content: 40% ± 2%.
• Meets the requirements of UNE-EN 934-2.

Features

• PREFLOW 1000-R improves considerably the thixotropy, cohesion and workability of fresh concrete. This way concrete maintains its good cohesion and homogeneity.
• PREFLOW 1000-R provides high flowing concrete over a prolonged period of time, while improving ultimate resistances.
• PREFLOW 1000-R maintains workability obtained at 25ºC for 45 and up to 90 min.
• PREFLOW 1000-R reduces segregation and bleeding and provides important water reduction. When the product is used as a water reducer of high activity, it provides very compact, low permeability concrete with high ultimate resistances.

Application procedure

PREFLOW 1000-R is a liquid material which is added during the concrete mixing, after mixing water has been added. Preferably, it should be added to previously mixed concrete. In the latter case, mixing should continue for 3 to 5 minutes longer.

In case of accidental overdosing, the setting time could be delayed. In principle, the ultimate resistances will not be affected. It is recommended to keep the concrete wet and prolong the time of removal of the formwork.

Special precautions

The use of rubber gloves and goggles is recommended. In case of skin or eye contact, wash thoroughly with water. If irritation continues, see a doctor.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

PREFLOW 1000-R is batched from 0.8 to 2% over the cement weight, according to the water reduction desired and the increase of workability

Packaging

PREFLOW 1000- is supplied in 230 kg drums, in 1m3 containers and 30 kg carafes.

Storage

PREFLOW 1000-R should be kept at temperatures higher than 8º C. Whatever the case, it cannot be kept at temperatures lower than 0ºC.

PREFLOW 1000-R freezes at approximately -5 ºC. Even so, it can be used after thawing and shaking it slowly.

PREFLOW 1000 shelf life is 12 months if kept in its unopened, original containers.
