High performance super plasticizer of long lasting effect for concrete

Description

PREFLOW 1000 is a polymeric liquid admixture, chloride free, suitable for obtaining very fluid concrete of high mechanical and aesthetic performance. It is particularly suitable for wet shotcrete application.

Technical Data

• Type: Modified sulphonated naphthalene formaldehyde.
• Aspect: Liquid.
• Colour: Dark brown.
• Density: 1.18 kg/dm3 ± 2%.
• Solid content: 40% ± 2%.
• Meets the requirements of UNE-EN 934-2.

Features

• PREFLOW 1000 improves considerably the thixotropy, cohesion and workability of fresh concrete. This way the concrete maintains its good cohesion and homogeneity.
• PREFLOW 1000 facilitates spread of cement particles, resulting in an enhanced performance.
• PREFLOW 1000 provides higher mechanical resistances, improves reliability and enhances dimensional stability of hardened concrete.
• PREFLOW 1000 reduces permeability of hardened concrete as well as segregation and bleeding of fresh concrete.

Application procedure

PREFLOW 1000 is a liquid material which is added during the concrete mixing, after mixing water has been added.

In case of accidental overdosing, the setting time could be delayed. In principle, the ultimate resistances will not be affected. It is recommended to keep the concrete wet and prolong the time of removal of the formwork.

Special precautions

The use of rubber gloves and goggles is recommended. In case of skin or eye contact, wash thoroughly with water. If irritation continues, see a doctor.

Empty packaging must be disposed of according to the local legal environmental regulations.

Consumption

PREFLOW 1000 is batched from 0.8 to 2% over the cement weight, according to the water reduction desired and the increase of workability

Packaging

PREFLOW 1000- is supplied in 240 kg drums, in 1m3 containers and in bulk.

Storage

PREFLOW 1000 should be kept at temperatures higher than 8º C. Whatever the case, it cannot be kept at temperatures lower than 0ºC.

PREFLOW 1000 freezes at approximately -5 ºC. Even so, it can be used after thawing and shaking it slowly.

PREFLOW 1000 shelf life is 12 months if kept in its unopened, original containers.
